Universal Technical Institute, Inc. is seeking a Financial Aid Advisor to guide students and influencers through the financial aid process, administer aid accurately, and resolve funding barriers affecting enrollment and persistence.

The role manages a student portfolio, provides timely education, and partners with Admissions, Student Services, Education, Employment Services, and Accounting to support starts and graduation.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Associates degree in business, accounting or related field is preferred.
• Three years of experience in customer service or sales is preferred.
• Two years of Financial Aid experience is preferred.
• Must not be in default on any Federal Student Loans and must remain in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Guide students from initial contact through ongoing support, helping them secure financial aid and submit all required documentation.
• Deliver a positive experience during every interaction by showing compassion and explaining the value of completing each next step on time.
• Identify barriers and offer solutions to help students start or continue school.
• Communicate the Company's value by linking benefits to student needs and gaining agreement.
• Administer student financial aid accurately and promptly per federal and state regulations.
• Educate students about FAFSA, loan options, scholarships, and alternative funding to resolve financing challenges.
• Partner with Admissions, Student Services, Education, Employment Services, and Accounting to support starts, persistence, and satisfaction.
• Execute timely follow-up and help students achieve financial aid milestones.
• Manage a portfolio of students using established tools and processes.
• Assess individual circumstances to gauge likelihood of starting or continuing education.
