Job summary

Ultimate Medical Academy is seeking a full-time admissions support specialist to guide prospective students through the financial aid process, enabling fund disbursement. The role emphasizes FAFSA follow-ups, communicating with students by email and phone, and ensuring timely clearance before externship or graduation.

This remote position requires strong customer service, knowledge of Title IV regulations, and the ability to work evenings/weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• 2-3 years of accounting or finance experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of Title IV Regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates communications to students and send emails where appropriate.
• Follows up on FAFSA and missing document renewals for continuing students.
• Works on externship and graduation clearance process so students don't leave school with a balance.
• Checks NSLDS to review student default status, overpayments and total aggregate loan limit.
• Answers inquiries regarding financial aid and student account issues via phone and email.
• Responsible for reducing Average Accounts Receivables for assigned student population, and be proactive about reaching out to them and assisting them finding alternatives for reducing their AR.
• Demonstrates knowledge of, and carefully follows all applicable federal and state compliance requirements and regulations including those prescribed by the Department of Education, accrediting agencies, CIE, and internal UMA policies and procedures.
• Effectively communicates compliance requirements to students and other staff as appropriate and quickly escalates any compliance concerns to the Compliance department.
• Other duties as assigned.
