Job summary

Downstream is seeking a Finance Manager to own the day-to-day financial operations of its rapidly growing marketplace, with direct responsibility for AR and AP functions. You will manage the AR and AP Associates while strengthening financial processes, controls, reporting, cash visibility, and month-end close.

This is a hands-on role for someone comfortable leading a team and diving into the details when needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience with AR and AP.
• Experience leading or developing accounting/finance teams is a plus.
• Strong understanding of month-end close, reconciliations, accruals, and controls.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with billing or payment platforms.
• Experience in a high-growth startup or marketplace environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop the AR and AP Associates.
• Own end-to-end AR and AP processes, including billing, collections, supplier payments, and reconciliations.
• Monitor customer aging and collections, improve DSO, escalate risks.
• Review supplier invoices, PCVs, payment batches, and exceptions.
• Lead month-end close activities: reconciliations, accruals, journal entries, schedules.
• Maintain strong financial controls across billing, payments, credits, and workflows.
• Collaborate with Operations and Sales to resolve billing disputes.
• Develop and monitor KPIs for AR, AP, cash collections, and aging.
