Job summary

STRADA Search Group's client in Farmington Hills is seeking a finance leader to oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable, mentor a two-person team, and maintain strong financial controls in a fast-growing, in-office setting.

You will collaborate with sales and operations to ensure billing accuracy, support month-end close, and contribute to budgeting and forecasting as the company scales. This role reports to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in accounting/finance with AR and AP experience.
• Supervisory or team lead experience preferred.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks, Odoo or similar and advanced Excel skills.
• Detail oriented with strong organizational and communication abilities.
• Experience in service/logistics/distribution or operations-heavy industries a plus.
• Must be based in the Detroit metro area and in-office in Farmington.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and mentor a two-person AR/AP team.
• Oversee full-cycle AR: invoicing, collections, disputes, cash flow management.
• Manage AP processes: vendor invoicing, payments, reconciliations, vendor relations.
• Support month-end close, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and cash flow analysis for leadership.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, operations, and other teams to ensure billing accuracy.
• Identify and implement process improvements and technology enhancements for efficiency.
• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and other strategic initiatives as the company expands.
