Job summary

The Nature Conservancy is seeking a Finance Manager, AR, IA, MO (Manager) to lead budgeting, forecasting, and comprehensive financial services for a multi-unit pod. You will partner with the Finance Director and division staff to guide resource allocation, funding decisions, and strategic financial planning across conservation, philanthropy, operations, and other functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years' related experience.
• Experience serving as a strategic finance partner and translating data into recommendations.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, reporting, analysis, and financial controls.
• Advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Manages budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, close, grant administration, and related finance activities for a pod in partnership with the Finance Director.
• Provides financial analysis and insights to inform planning and resource allocation.
• Maintains accuracy and integrity of financial data, systems, and internal controls.
• Supports implementation of financial strategies and process improvements.
• Acts as approver of accounts receivable/payable and coordinates with accounting staff.
• Supports philanthropy funding reviews and private awards in partnership with teams.
• Ensures compliance with policies and regulatory requirements; escalates issues.
