Job summary

The Nature Conservancy is seeking a Finance Manager, AR, IA, MO (Manager) to lead budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and financial analysis for a multi-unit pod. You will partner with the Finance Director and division teams to deliver strategic guidance and ensure compliance with accounting standards.

This remote role supports the Great Plains Division (AR, IA, MO, etc.) with up to 10% travel and a focus on resource allocation and funding decisions across conservation, philanthropy, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field and 4 years' related experience or equivalent combination.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience using Workday including data entry, reporting, analysis, and/or other functions.
• Administration or related field and 4 years' related experience or equivalent combination.
• Demonstrated ability to serve as a strategic finance partner, build trusted relationships, influence decision-making, provide strategic recommendations, and navigate competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Manages budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, financial close, pledge reviews, grant administration, lease & asset certifications, and related financial management activities for a pod in partnership with the Finance Director.
• Provides financial analysis, modeling, and insights to inform planning, resource allocation, and operational decision-making.
• Maintains the accuracy, integrity, and effective administration of financial data, systems, processes, and internal controls.
• Supports implementation of financial strategies, operational improvements, organizational initiatives, and finance process enhancements.
• Executes and supports the delivery of finance services across the pod, coordinating with Ops & Enablement, Contracts, Reporting/Awards, and enterprise finance teams.
