Job summary

Horace Mann is seeking a Field Sourcing Recruiter to grow the Worksite Division network of 1099 agents. This fully remote role focuses on proactive sourcing, building talent pipelines, and engaging qualified prospects. You will screen and schedule promising candidates with partner recruiters for the next hiring step.

You will meet annual hiring goals, maintain candidate records in Greenhouse, and collaborate with field leaders to ensure a positive candidate experience and timely hiring decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field preferred.
• 3–5+ years of full-cycle 1099 recruiting experience in insurance/financial services/sales.
• Proven ability to source passive and active candidates via LinkedIn Recruiter and other platforms.
• Experience using Greenhouse or similar ATS.
• Proven ability to manage multiple requisitions while meeting metrics and hiring goals.
• Strong communication, organizational, and candidate relationship skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies using Greenhouse, LinkedIn Recruiter, Appcast, Wall Street Jobs, referrals, and other platforms.
• Maintain high recruiting activity; target 25 qualifying conversations per week and advance 7–8 candidates weekly to Field Leader interviews.
• Conduct outreach, screening, and qualification to assess alignment with Horace Mann's agent opportunity.
• Manage full recruitment lifecycle from sourcing to offer acceptance and appointment.
• Meet annual hiring goals, including appointing a minimum of 40 agents per year.
