Job summary

Horace Mann is seeking an experienced Field Sourcing Recruiter to grow our Worksite Division network of captive 1099 agents. You will proactively source candidates, build pipelines, and engage qualified prospects, then hand off to partner recruiters for next steps.

The role emphasizes strong sourcing, follow-through, and a results-driven approach. It is fully remote, with potential travel for meetings or events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field preferred.
• 3–5+ years of full-cycle 1099 recruiting experience, preferably in insurance/financial services.
• Proven ability to source passive and active candidates via LinkedIn Recruiter and other platforms.
• Experience using Greenhouse or similar ATS.
• Ability to manage multiple requisitions while meeting metrics and hiring goals.
• Strong communication, organizational, and candidate relationship management skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies using Greenhouse, LinkedIn Recruiter, Appcast, Wall Street Jobs, referrals, and other platforms.
• Maintain high recruiting activity: minimum 25 qualified conversations per week and advance 7–8 candidates weekly to Field Leader interviews.
• Conduct outreach, screening, and qualification to assess alignment with agent opportunity.
• Manage full recruitment lifecycle from sourcing to offer acceptance and appointment.
• Meet annual hiring goals, including appointing a minimum of 40 agents per year.
• Collaborate with field leaders to ensure positive candidate experience and timely decisions.
• Maintain candidate records and recruiting activity in Greenhouse and other systems.
• Track recruiting activity, pipeline metrics, interview conversions, and hiring results.
