Job summary

Ott is seeking a Field Service Technician to support the Northeastern U.S. region from the Washington DC area.

You will perform on-site installation, calibration, and training of process sensors for In-Situ, ChemScan and Partech products, ensuring up-time and data reliability. The role requires a high school diploma, strong mechanical/electrical skills, PLC knowledge, and the ability to travel up to 75% to customer sites.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Preferred 2 years experience in Troubleshooting & Diagnostics.
• Strong mechanical and electrical skills; chemistry knowledge.
• Experience with industrial instrumentation and PLC basics.
• Excellent communication skills; ability to travel up to 75%.
• Able to lift 50–65 pounds and work in noisy environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site installation, calibration, and training of process sensors.
• Diagnose system failures and determine cost-effective solutions; escalate as needed.
• Maintain field service reports detailing troubleshooting and data.
• Coordinate with site owners and contractors for equipment installation.
• Support regional sales with technical inputs and pilot projects.
• Attend product and application trainings at In-Situ facility.
• Manage field service kit inventory and write detailed service reports.
