Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician specialized in ASTRO systems to deliver on-site and remote upgrades, troubleshooting, and optimization across complex communications infrastructure. You will support IT-like environments, cyber security principles, and networked communications, including LA/NWAN, AD administration, and P25 data systems.

Candidates must be able to obtain a DoD security clearance and will travel up to 75–80% domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in IT, networking, technician, field service, system technician/specialist, radio frequency, or land mobile radio

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site and remote upgrades and troubleshooting of Motorola ASTRO systems
• Proficiency with LAN/WAN, network installation, configuration and maintenance (routers, switches, firewalls)
• Troubleshoot in an IT-type environment and document activities
• Maintain and optimize complex communications systems and generate weekly reports
• Work with customers, subcontractors, and Motorola Solutions teams to ensure project success
• Travel internationally and domestically up to 75–80% of the time
