Job summary

Motorola Solutions seeks an experienced Field Service Technician to perform on-site and remote upgrades and troubleshooting of ASTRO systems. You will handle IT-type infrastructure, networking, and security aspects while collaborating with customers and internal teams.

Expect substantial travel and the opportunity to work across a broad set of Motorola ASTRO products and applications. The role requires strong communication, LAN/WAN expertise, and the ability to obtain security clearances.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in IT, networking, field service or related roles.
• Proficient with LAN/WAN, routers, switches, firewalls and related infrastructure.
• Willingness to travel up to 75–80% and obtain security clearances as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site and remote upgrades and troubleshooting of Motorola ASTRO systems.
• Maintain and troubleshoot IT-type infrastructure and align with RF and broadband architecture.
• Document activities and produce weekly progress reports.
• Collaborate with customers and internal teams across sales, engineering and support.
