Job summary

ABB offers a 12-month Field Service Development program with exposure to Power Delivery applications (Installation/Commissioning, Maintenance/Repairs, Retrofits) and advanced field service functions. After completion, participants transition to an Associate Field Service Technician role.

Program starts October 12, 2026, with a remote work model nationwide in the US. The role requires a High School diploma/GED (4 years experience) or an Associate’s/Bachelor’s degree, travel ~70%, and a valid

High School diploma or GED with 4 years related experience, or an Associate’s degree with 2 years, or a Bachelor's degree.
Ability to travel approximately 70% as required.
Must possess/maintain a valid passport and driver’s license.
Demonstrated interpersonal and leadership skills.
Customer service oriented with ability to build customer relationships.

Responsibilities

Be a self-starter with limited supervision and seek resources to build solutions.
Show strong analytical and mechanical aptitude to solve issues.
Able to read technical drawings and schematics.
Utilize MS Office and learn other software as needed.
Maintain excellent driving record and a valid license.
Travel to customer sites up to 70% and work extended hours when required.
