Job summary

ZEISS Group is seeking a Field Service Technician, Level I, to gain hands-on experience installing, maintaining, and repairing Coordinate Measuring Machines and metrology equipment at customer sites across Canada.

You will work under supervision, build skills in mechanical, electrical, electronic, and software systems, and document service work with accuracy and safety. Training and career growth are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Fluency in both English and French, written and spoken, is required.
• College diploma or university degree in electronics, electromechanical engineering technology, industrial mechanics, mechatronics, or a related technical discipline.
• An equivalent combination of relevant technical training and practical work experience may be considered.
• Previous experience installing, maintaining, repairing, or troubleshooting industrial electronics, mechanical equipment, machinery, or computer-controlled systems is preferred.
• Experience with CMMs, precision measurement systems, or industrial metrology equipment is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Develop proficiency in installation, preventive maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and repair of Coordinate Measuring Machines and related metrology equipment.
• Assist senior technicians with equipment installations, service calls, calibrations, troubleshooting, and repairs.
• Provide professional, responsive, and solutions-focused customer service and communicate findings clearly.
