Job summary

ZEISS is seeking a Field Service Technician to travel within the region, install, repair, troubleshoot, service and calibrate state-of-the-art measuring instruments. The position requires hands-on work, driving, and regional travel.

You will start with a comprehensive training program, then visit customer sites to support CMMs and other instruments, documenting work and maintaining records as you grow your skills at ZEISS.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Technical/Technical school or college degree in Electronics, Industrial Mechanics, or related field.
• Military technical training is acceptable as equivalent experience.
• Experience with hand tools and basic electrical test equipment.
• Microsoft Windows knowledge is required.
• Valid Driver License is required.
• Able to lift up to 75 pounds and work 50 hours per week including OT.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, troubleshoot, service and calibrate advanced measuring instruments at customer sites within the region.
• Travel to customer sites; 70–90% travel in your region.
• Document service work and maintain accurate service records.
• Work independently while representing ZEISS in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
