Ingersoll Rand is seeking a Field Service Technician to deliver on-site technical support for IR equipment, balancing customer focus with 24/7 service needs. The role emphasizes safe practices, rapid response, and collaboration with sales and service teams.

The ideal candidate will have a technical background in millwright or maintenance, good computer skills, and the ability to work independently or with teams.

Qualifications

• Three years of relevant technical background including millwright, maintenance, engineering, field service experience, or equivalent.
• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must have a valid driver's license and be able to pass a motor vehicle background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide field technical support at customer sites during repair or installation and ensure equipment integrity.
• Uphold safe work practices and report all safety incidents promptly.
• Improve responsiveness to customers by supporting sales calls, technical walk-downs, and providing solutions that differentiate IR proposals.
• Complete required reports (Service Reports, Customer Call Reports, Expense Reports, Time Sheets) and ensure timely invoicing.
• Suggest process improvements to enhance response time and data accuracy; comply with guidelines.
• Maintain proficiencies with vibration analysis and laser alignment equipment for balancing and testing.
• Generate sales leads by identifying opportunities for additional support and updating the CRM.
