Job summary

PerkinElmer is seeking a Field Service Engineer for field remote work across OH, KY, MI, PA and IN. You will service and install Delta or Perten instruments, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with regional teams to minimize downtime.

The role requires travel ~80%, strong communication, GMP knowledge and a technical degree or equivalent experience. A valid driver's license and ability to work across multiple sites are essential.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or equivalent work history.
• Travel approximately 80% including overnights, usually not weekends.
• Knowledge of GMP and Plant Safety Protocols.
• Strong interpersonal skills and customer satisfaction focus.
• Ability to follow written and verbal directions and service manuals.
• Licensed driver; able to operate a PC to enter data and generate reports.
• Physically capable of required tasks and lifting up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform client-site servicing, repair and installation of company products.
• Provide technical support on operation and maintenance of system equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, hardware, software and systems failures; propose fixes.
• Prepare reports analyzing product failure trends and service issues.
• Coordinate with Service Coordinator to schedule with customers and prerequisites.
• Coordinate installs with regional office and specialists for training.
• Assist with application support on all equipment.
• Maintain clear written and verbal communication with customers and peers.
