Job summary

PerkinElmer is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support customers in OH, KY, MI, PA, and IN with field remote assignments. You will install, service, and repair Delta or Perten instruments, perform preventative maintenance, and provide on-site technical support while coordinating with specialists.

Located in or near Columbus, OH preferred; travel about 80% with a company car provided. Strong GMP knowledge, safety mindset, and excellent communication are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or equivalent work history.
• Travel ~80% including overnights.
• GMP and Plant Safety Protocols knowledge.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-satisfaction focus.
• Licensed driver; able to operate a PC and generate reports.
• Ability to read and follow technical bulletins and service manuals.
• Regularly lift up to 25 pounds; occasionally up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform client-site servicing, repair and installation of company products.
• Provide technical support on operational or maintenance aspects of systems.
• Diagnose failures and determine cost-effective repairs to minimize downtime.
• Coordinate with Specialists for network security and integration.
• Assist with application support on all equipment.
• Maintain clear written and verbal communication with customers and peers.
