Job summary
Leidos is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support development, testing, deployment, sustainment, and QA of a complex telecom system. You will survey sites, install equipment, configure systems, and troubleshoot to ensure on-time, quality deliverables across DISN sites in CONUS/OCONUS.
The role requires working with customers and vendors, coordinating with teams, and traveling as needed. A Secret clearance is required, with hands-on installation and documentation duties across multiple
Qualifications
- Active Secret security clearance required.
- Experience with surveys, installations, cable termination, and configuring network equipment.
- Knowledge of ANSI/BICSI standards for data centers and telecommunications.
- Willingness to travel; ability to lift 50 pounds; field work readiness.
Responsibilities
- Assist with development of MOP and site installation planning.
- Coordinate with customers, vendors, and internal teams on installations.
- Perform site surveys, installation, testing, and de-installation activities.
- Develop Site Survey Reports and Site Engineering Solutions to meet milestones.
- Support ITA activities and ensure quality and schedule adherence.
- Review TSIP packages and assist with cost estimates and procurement.
