Job summary
Leidos LLC is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support development, testing, deployment, sustainment, and QA of a complex telecommunication system. You will work with customers, vendors, and teammates to survey sites, install, configure, and test network elements, and ensure on‑time delivery.
You will perform site surveys, plan installations, coordinate with carriers, and produce customer-ready reports. The role requires travel, security clearance, and strong technical and communication
Qualifications
- Must have an active Secret security clearance.
- Experience with surveys, installations, pulling and terminating cable, determining and implementing required pin outs, installing and configuring Ciena equipment, etc.
- Ability to travel at short notice and lift up to 50 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Assists with development of method of procedures (MOP).
- Assists with creation of IBOM, MBOM, Master TRBOM for site installations.
- Execute TSIP actions to install and integrate IT&A systems into operational readiness.
- Participate in daily status calls and articulate project status and challenges.
- Conduct site surveys, installation, testing and de-installation with quality control.
- Collaborate with team to develop Site Survey Reports and Site Engineering Solutions.
- Support Logistics in IBOM/MBOM procurement and project milestones.
- Perform configurations on network elements per DISA guidelines.
- Provide technical support to customers and document installations.
