Garud Technology Services, Inc. seeks a Senior Systems Engineer to collaborate with our client on developing technologies to protect the nation’s borders. The role involves supporting surface and subterranean surveillance and threat detection for the Border Wall System (BWS).

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in fiber optic sensing or DAS, DHS/DoD program experience, and the ability to obtain DHS/CBP clearance. Location offers hybrid/remote work with travel up to 40% within the U.S.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of engineering experience in fiber optic sensing, DAS, or related defense/security technologies.
• Familiar with DHS or DoD Acquisition Lifecycle Framework (ALF).
• Familiar with DHS Systems Engineering Life Cycle (SELC) framework.
• Ability to hold DHS/CBP clearance.
• Ability to travel to the U.S. southern border region up to 40%.

Responsibilities

• Generate engineering reports, risk analyses, and technical recommendations suitable for milestone reviews.
• Support agile development software processes by aiding end users with creating user stories and prioritizing backlog.
• Evaluate contractor submittals including RFI responses, proposals, white papers, technology demonstration plans, and contract deliverables.
• Support the planning, execution, data collection, evaluation, and assessment of system acceptance tests, technical demonstrations, and other evaluation efforts.
• Assist the client develop engineering and business processes such as requirement solicitation of field users.
