General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. is seeking a Field Engineer to support a Border Patrol surveillance system deployed along the Southern U.S. border.

This role involves on-site troubleshooting, installation, and maintenance of equipment, with remote support when needed and strong emphasis on teamwork and learning new technologies. The position requires 2+ years of related experience, US citizenship, and the ability to lift 35 pounds.

Formación

• Proficiencies in troubleshooting hardware, software, and networking issues.
• Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Excellent communication skills with non-technical users.
• Strong customer service orientation and problem-solving mindset.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites daily within the assigned area.

Responsabilidades

• Provide on-site troubleshooting, diagnosis, and resolution of technical issues.
• Conduct root-cause analysis on hardware, software, and network issues to restore functionality.
• Install, configure, and test new equipment and systems according to client specifications and GDIT guidelines.
• Offer remote support to government clients, guiding them through troubleshooting steps when on-site visits are not feasible.
• Maintain detailed documentation of service visits, including issues identified and solutions provided.
