Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support the Hugo robotic-assisted surgery platform across hospital and clinical environments. You will install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot Hugo systems while delivering onsite technical training to healthcare professionals.

This remote, travel-heavy role requires residence in one of the specified states and up to 75% travel; excellent English communication is essential; you will collaborate with engineering teams to ensure optimal system

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 4+ years in clinical field service or medical device service.
• Experience installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing complex equipment or integrated systems.
• Ability to travel up to 75% within the assigned territory.
• English communication skills, written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and upgrade medical equipment at customer sites.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, software, and system-level issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance and system performance evaluations.
• Execute repairs and engineering change implementations.
• Provide technical guidance and training to clinical and customer support teams.
• Document service activities and corrective actions accurately.
• Collaborate with engineering and technical support teams to resolve challenges.
• Build trusted relationships with customers through responsive service.
