Quality Vision International Inc. seeks a Field Service Engineer to provide on-site installation, calibration and repair of metrology products across North America. The role is a full-time, travel-heavy position with domestic travel predominating.

Ideal candidates will be based in the Upper Midwest or nearby hubs such as Chicago or Detroit, with strong mechanical/electrical aptitude and the ability to communicate effectively with customers and HQ.

Qualifications

• 2-year degree in engineering, technology or physics required or 4 years of equivalent related work or military experience.
• Minimum 2 years of technical field service or similar calibration/repair experience.
• Strong mechanical & electrical aptitude; familiarity with measurement tools.

Responsabilités

• Receive service dispatch instructions and identify product, customer and timing.
• Contact customer to confirm location and arrival timing.
• Arrange and book travel for assignments.
• Attend on-site with tools and begin service tasks.
• Maintain communication with HQ and customer on progress.
• Complete service reports and expense documentation per QVS policies.
• Identify upgrade opportunities and communicate leads to the home office.
• Communicate training needs to manager based on products served.
