Job summary
Quality Vision International Inc. is seeking a remote Field Service Engineer positioned within the Upper Midwest corridor.
This full-time role involves on-site installation, calibration, and repair of QVI metrology products across North America, with travel to customer sites and limited international travel. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of field service or military calibration experience, strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, and the ability to read drawings and diagnose
Qualifications
- 2-year degree in engineering, technology or physics required or 4 years related work/military experience
- Minimum 2 years of technical field service or related calibration/repair
- Strong mechanical & electrical aptitude with measurement tools
- Able to read mechanical/electrical drawings, specs and manuals
- Computer/controller experience and diagnosing complex hardware/software interactions
Responsibilities
- Receive service dispatch instructions and identify product, customer, timing
- Contact customer to confirm location and timing for arrival
- Arrange and book travel
- On-site service with tools; complete service reports and logs
- Identify upgrade opportunities and communicate with home office
- Communicate training needs to manager
- Maintain ISO-quality documentation and customer liaison
