Zusammenfassung

Quality Vision International seeks a Field Service Engineer to perform on-site installation, calibration and repair of QVI metrology products across North America. This full-time travel role requires strong technical and customer-service skills and supports multiple brands, with extensive domestic travel and occasional international travel.

Ideal candidates are within the Upper Midwest corridor, including Chicago, Detroit, Southern Michigan or Ohio, and must be ready for a Monday–Friday schedule

Qualifikationen

• 2-year degree in engineering, technology or physics or 4 years of related work/military experience.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on Field Service experience or equivalent military calibration/repair of complex systems.
• Strong mechanical & electrical aptitude with use of dial indicators, calipers, multimeters, precision levels.
• Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings, specifications and manuals.
• Computer and controller experience; knowledge of control systems and diagnosing hardware/software exchanges.

Aufgaben

• Receive service dispatch instructions identifying product, customer, issue and timing.
• Contact customer to confirm location and timing for arrival.
• Arrange and book travel for assignments.
• Arrive on-site with company tools and begin work.
• Maintain contact with HQ and customer on progress and needs.
• Complete service reports, logs and expense reports per QVS policies.
• Identify upgrade opportunities and communicate leads to home office.
