Job summary

Abbott is seeking a Field Service Engineer II to support diagnostic instruments in a field-based remote role covering Oahu, Hawaii. You will install, maintain and troubleshoot complex systems while ensuring compliance and customer satisfaction.

You will travel up to 50% within the territory, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and provide guidance to other field service members to strengthen capability and service delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.
• 2-5 years of experience in Engineering or Laboratory Technology.
• Ability to travel 50% within the assigned territory.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with laboratory instrumentation
• Proficiency in computer applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet) and remote computing tools
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain diagnostic systems, completing installations and preventive maintenance.
• Troubleshoot issues across multiple instruments and document resolutions.
• Manage customer satisfaction and resolve service calls.
• Plan and prioritize service visits and manage territory.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality guidelines during service.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor other Field Service Representatives.
• Meet service sales and KPI targets.
• Utilize remote tools to maximize instrument uptime and support training.
