Abbott is hiring a Field Service Engineer II to support customers as a technical expert, installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting diagnostic instruments while ensuring compliance and customer satisfaction. You will manage your territory, resolve complex issues, and partner cross-functionally to deliver service excellence and achieve business goals.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, 2–5 years in engineering or lab tech, and up to 25% travel in Marquette, MI area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.
• 2-5 years of experience in Engineering or Laboratory Technology.
• Ability to travel 25% within the assigned territory.
• Proficiency in computer applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet) and remote computing tools (VPN, remote troubleshooting).

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain diagnostic systems and ensure optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across multiple instruments with documented resolutions.
• Own customer satisfaction and manage issues from start to resolution.
• Plan and prioritize service visits; maintain inventory and travel for training or critical support.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, quality, and safety guidelines; document for audits.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor other field service reps.
• Meet service sales, cost of service, and KPI targets.
• Utilize remote tools to maximize instrument uptime and ongoing certifications.
