Job summary

Abbott in the Diagnostics Division is hiring a Field Service Engineer II for a field-based remote role serving the Honolulu, Hawaii territory. You will install, maintain, and troubleshoot diagnostic instruments, ensuring compliance and customer satisfaction while supporting cross-functional teams.

Travel up to 50% and a valid driver's license are required. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience plus 2–5 years in engineering or lab tech is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• 2–5 years of experience in Engineering or Laboratory Technology.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% within the assigned territory.

Responsibilities

• Install and Maintain Diagnostic Systems: Complete installations, preventive maintenance, and corrective repairs on assigned instruments.
• Troubleshoot and Resolve Issues: Diagnose technical problems and document resolutions.
• Own Customer Satisfaction: Manage customer issues from start to resolution and build relationships.
• Manage Territory Effectively: Plan service visits, maintain inventory, and support travel for training.
• Ensure Compliance and Safety: Follow regulatory and safety guidelines; document for audits.
• Collaborate and Mentor: Partner with cross-functional teams and guide other Field Service Representatives.
• Achieve Business Metrics: Meet targets for service sales, cost of service, and KPIs.
