Job summary

Leica Biosystems is seeking a Field Service Engineer I for Digital Pathology to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair scanners, software, and connected systems in a remote territory. You will drive uptime and ensure reliable workflows that support patient care.

The role requires up to 90% travel, strong communication, and a proven ability to work autonomously in customer environments. A 35.00–38.00 USD hourly rate and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

Associate’s degree required with hands‑on troubleshooting experience or equivalent.
Experience troubleshooting electromechanical, electronic, imaging, IT‑connected, or instrumentation systems.
Ability to work in a field-based customer environment with strong organization and communication.

Responsibilities

Perform installation, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, software configuration, modification, and repair of Digital Pathology scanners and systems.
Own service execution within the assigned territory, prioritize customer needs and manage service activity.
Build trusted customer relationships by collaborating with technical support, applications, and service teams.
