Job summary

IPSEN is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support customers in Central IN, Central OH, and Western MI from a home base near Fort Wayne, IN. This remote role requires up to 90% travel, including extended trips during training and onboarding.

This position installs, calibrates, troubleshoots, and maintains heat treatment equipment at customer sites, coordinating with internal teams to ensure quality service. Strong technical aptitude, safety discipline, and the ability to travel are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years related industrial equipment maintenance or 4+ years experience.
• Experience with calibration, pyrometry, vacuum, thermal and TUS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Installs and starts up equipment at customer sites per scope of work.
• Review project scope and budget within allocated parameters.
• Troubleshoot and service heat treatment equipment on-site; perform maintenance and calibrations.
• Review equipment reports to aid in troubleshooting faults.
• Coordinate problem solving with central support and other teams.
• Identify upsell opportunities for services at customer sites.
