Job summary

Schneider Electric is seeking a Field Service Representative to install, inspect, troubleshoot, repair and maintain equipment for customers. The role sits in the U.S. Services Industry Services team and includes home‑based work with a 40‑hour guarantee and paid travel to training in Dallas, TX.

Expect hands‑on problem solving, reporting, and customer‑facing service. You will travel for training and site support, work with power distribution equipment, and be part of a team focused on reliability

Qualifications

• Vocational education or military training in electronics or related field.
• 2+ years of mechanical/electrical service experience.
• Technical proficiency in electronic/electrical theory.
• Experience with Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
• Experience writing reports and presenting information to managers/customers.
• Ability to calculate figures and measurements and interpret drawings.
• Experience with testing/maintenance in MV switchgear, transformers or relays.
• Ability to move service equipment up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Servicing, installing, and repairing customer equipment.
• Perform warranty work and start‑up service.
• Startup/Commissioning on Schneider Variable Frequency Drives.
• Testing, calibration, and part replacement on drive products.
• Constructing and testing circuits using tools and diagrams.
• Provide technical support, product service, and on‑site audits.
• Travel for training and site support as needed.
• Document all required site information in reports.
