Farmers Insurance in Hackensack, NJ is seeking a Field Property Claims Adjuster. This field role requires travel to policyholder homes and may include on-site investigations.

You will assess property damage, determine liability, write estimates, and negotiate settlements using claims software and a company vehicle. A high school diploma is required; strong customer service and communication skills are essential.

Qualificações

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent customer service experience, preferably in a retail environment.
• Excellent communication skills – both oral and written.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel and Outlook; valid driver's license and bondable.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct virtual and on-site investigations by visiting policyholders’ residences to assess property damage, determine liability, evaluate loss, and negotiate fair settlements.
• Use claims handling software, a company car, and a laptop to write estimates in a paperless environment.
• Evaluate and report on subrogation opportunities and report incidents involving theft, fraud, or arson.
• Interact with policyholders, claimants, agents, witnesses, contractors, and investigators to resolve claims.
• Promote safety and meet management standards while performing duties independently.
