Farmers Insurance is seeking a Field Adjuster to conduct investigations at policyholders' homes, assess property damage, determine liability, and negotiate fair settlements. This remote field role requires travel to and from residences and supports deployments, with an emphasis on customer service and accurate claim resolution.

Responsibilities include using claims software, maintaining professional conduct, and engaging with diverse stakeholders while adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent customer service experience, preferably in a retail environment.
• Construction or insurance experience is highly desirable and preferred.
• Excellent communication skills – both oral and written.
• Computer literate: MS Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Proficiency with smartphones and applications.
• Eagerness to learn about insurance policies and property damage from the inside out to identify how coverage applies to a particular loss.
• Outgoing personality that would enjoy interacting with a wide variety of people including policyholders, claimants, agents, witnesses, and investigators.
• Valid driver's license and Bondable. Background check may be required.
• Previous property damage claims experience preferred but trainable.

Responsabilités

• Conduct investigations by visiting policyholders’ residences to assess property damage and negotiate settlements.
• Use claims handling software, a company car, and a laptop to write damage estimates.
• Evaluate potential subrogation opportunities and report incidents to authorities when needed.
• Interact with a wide range of stakeholders including policyholders, claimants, agents, witnesses, contractors, and investigators.
• Travel for deployments; earn additional hourly pay and overtime during deployments.
• Promote safety and comply with company standards.
