Farmers Insurance is seeking a Field Property Adjuster based in the Greater Cape Girardeau area, MO. This field role requires travel to policyholder homes to assess property damage, determine liability, and negotiate fair settlements. A computer, company vehicle, and mobile access are provided.

High School diploma and strong customer service are required. Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently are essential.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service experience, preferably in a field/retail environment.
• Excellent communication skills – both oral and written.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook and general computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site and virtual investigations at policyholder homes to assess damage and negotiate settlements.
• Use claims handling software, a company car, and a laptop to determine claims-related damage and write estimates in a paperless environment.
• Evaluate and report on potential subrogation opportunities.
