Qualifications

• Excellent customer service experience, preferably in a retail environment.
• Proficient communication skills, both oral and written.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to policyholder homes.
• Bondable; background checks may apply.

Responsibilities

• Conduct investigations by visiting policyholders’ residences to assess property damage and negotiate settlements.
• Use claims software, a company car, and a laptop to write estimates in a paperless environment.
• Evaluate subrogation opportunities.
• Report theft, fraud, or arson incidents to appropriate agencies.
• Work independently with outcomes impacting management decisions.
• Represent Farmers professionally in public interactions and with stakeholders.
• Engage with policyholders, claimants, agents, witnesses, contractors and others.
• Negotiate with policyholders to settle claims.
• Promote safety and comply with company standards.
• Travel to deployments; CAT deployments 1–3 times per year.
