Job summary

Qualus is seeking a Field Engineering Project Lead in the Field Engineering group to drive complex electrical utility projects, including transmission and distribution equipment upgrades and relay protection. You will lead day-to-day execution and serve as the primary client interface, ensuring project compliance and successful delivery.

Qualifications

BA/BS in Electrical Engineering (ABET) or equivalent.
5+ years in relay testing/commissioning or protection & control design.
EIT/PE preferred but not required.
Experience reading One Line and wiring diagrams.
Strong computer and mobile app skills; MS Office; cloud connectivity.

Responsibilities

Oversee electrical utility projects (transmission & distribution, relay upgrades).
Serve as primary client interface from assessment to submittals and proposals.
Review P&C drawings and resolve design/testing issues with engineering team.
Coordinate material, crew, and outages; manage field operations.
Plan schedules and procure equipment; lead client meetings and site walks.
Build relationships with customers; advocate for operations and program success.

Education

ABET Electrical Engineering degree
