Job summary

Qualus in the Specialized Field Services team seeks a Senior Field Service Technician to test, maintain, and repair electrical equipment in field and shop settings. You will lead field crews, document site activities, and help ensure project success across relays, breakers, transformers and switchgear.

The role emphasizes leadership, safety, and hands-on technical excellence, with responsibilities spanning field execution, training, and coordination with project management to meet performance

Qualifications

• 3-5 years' related experience in power plants, industrial services, primary power distribution and related protection and control schemes.
• Minimum 2 years of industrial or commercial power systems experience.
• Licensures and Certifications: NETA 2 or higher required.
• Education: High School Diploma.

Responsibilities

• Provide testing for relays, circuit breakers, transformers, motor control equipment in the field.
• Lead a crew in field testing/maintenance/repair of breakers, transformers, switchgear, motor control.
• Ensure proper preparation and documentation for site projects.
• Helps evaluate department talent base, identify training needs, and recommend actions.
• Identifies and sources equipment needs for shop/field.
• Provides daily site summaries and weekly production status reports to project management.
