Job summary

NV5 is seeking a Field Electrical Engineer (Remote) based in California to act as an Owner's Representative across multiple project sites. You will perform field inspections, QA/QC, and oversee electrical testing and commissioning activities during construction.

Travel 50–75% to commercial sites will be required. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years EPC field experience, MV infrastructure expertise, and strong communication skills to coordinate

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of field electrical maintenance experience within EPC on commercial projects.
• Experience with NETA qualified testing vendors and test results assessment.
• Proficient with medium voltage infrastructure and relay testing.
• Strong communication and coordination across onsite teams.

Responsibilities

• Convey project status to clients via discussions, presentations, and reports.
• Manage site schedule, travel, client communications, and budgets.
• Coordinate with multiple stakeholders and onsite teams efficiently.
• Travel 50–75% to commercial customer sites across the U.S.
• Inspect and oversee NETA testing and verification of electrical systems.
