Job summary

NV5 seeks a Field Electrical Engineer (Remote) based in California to oversee electrical systems across multiple project sites. You will perform field inspections, QA/QC, and coordinate with Project Managers to ensure compliance and timely delivery.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of field electrical maintenance experience, proficiency with MV/LV testing, and strong communication skills. Travel nationwide is expected, and the role includes coordination of NETA testing and punch-list activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field.
• 5+ years of field electrical maintenance experience within EPC of commercial projects.
• Ability to identify onsite deficiencies and energization blockers.
• Experience with NETA testing vendors and assessing pass/fail results.
• Proficiency with MV infrastructure including relay testing and power metering.

Responsibilities

• Convey overall project status to clients via discussions, presentations, and reports.
• Manage site schedule, travel, client communication, and project budgets.
• Engage with multiple stakeholders while onsite and manage time effectively.
• Travel within the United States approximately 50-75% for site walks and owner rep services.
• Oversee NETA testing, relay calibration, and high/low voltage equipment inspections.
