Job summary
Vertiv in Oregon seeks a Senior Field Engineer to supervise and support regional service engineers, performing fieldwork and handling sales-adjacent duties. You will lead complex electrical tests, commissioning, and turnkey projects while developing new field service tests and ensuring accurate reporting and billing.
The role requires extensive travel (up to 50%), strong NEC/OSHA knowledge, and proven leadership in large-scale electrical projects.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of NEC and OSHA/NFPA standards.
- Experience with high and medium voltage equipment testing.
- Ability to supervise field service teams and coordinate large projects.
- Excellent report writing and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and train field service engineers and technicians.
- Perform complex troubleshooting and specialized tests on electrical systems.
- Lead large projects including generator tests and substations commissioning.
- Develop tests and inspections for new field service areas.
- Perform job estimating, proposals, scheduling, and billing.
- Write detailed reports and process invoices accurately.
- Interface with clients and support business development.
