Job summary

Software Placement Group, SPG, is seeking a Field Applications Engineer to drive revenue growth by partnering with engineering-level customers to deliver interconnect solutions.

This remote role supports the West Region across California, Arizona, and Nevada, with up to 40% travel, a base salary of $95K–$110K plus bonus, and comprehensive benefits.

You will develop technical expertise, collaborate with customers, and support sales initiatives to expand key accounts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar.
• Minimum 3 years of experience providing technical customer support.
• At least 3 years of direct industry experience selling electronic components for medical devices or industrial markets.

Responsibilities

• Generate revenue through solicitation and acquisition of orders across the West Region territory.
• Collaborate with customers at the engineering level to understand technical requirements and provide interconnect solutions.
• Develop accounts to support the West Region sales team and pursue new business opportunities in the pipeline.
• Drive sales growth in defined accounts and territory to achieve assigned sales goals.
• Utilize strong communication skills to support sales initiatives.
• Assist the sales team in mining defined accounts for additional orders.
• Develop technical expertise on products and applications to maximize sales efforts.
