• Own first-level technical support for interconnect customers on the West Coast.
• Collaborate with Applications Engineering, Design Engineering, CPU vendors, and IP vendors to resolve issues.
• Escalate and keep management informed on open issues.
• Directly communicate with customers to understand needs and troubleshoot challenges.
• Conduct onsite visits and serve as the primary technical contact for assigned customers.

Field Applications Engineer – Interconnect Products

We are working with a fast-growing, publicly traded fabless semiconductor company looking for a Field Applications Engineer to support their West Coast interconnect customer base (PCIe Retimers, Switch products, and Active Cables).

We are looking for a candidate with a proven track record supporting interconnect products in a customer-facing capacity. This person will own design-in, training, and technical support for the company's interconnect product portfolio. This is a results-oriented, high-visibility role working cross-functionally with sales, marketing, design engineering, operations, and finance teams, reporting directly to the company's VP of Sales and Business Development.

This is a full-time role based in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Total Compensation: $350k+ (base + bonus) and stock options

Responsibilities:

• Own first-level technical support for interconnect customers across the West Coast
• Partner with Applications Engineering, Design Engineering, CPU vendors, and IP vendors to resolve customer issues quickly
• Keep management informed on open issues and escalation needs
• Communicate directly with customers to understand needs and troubleshoot technical challenges
• Conduct onsite customer visits and serve as the primary technical point of contact for assigned customers

Requirements:

• Current experience as an FAE or AE in the interconnect industry
• Strong understanding of the data center ecosystem
• Experience supporting Tier 1 CSPs and their ODM partners
• Currently based in the San Francisco Bay Area
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
• Experience navigating a multinational corporate environment to execute customer programs and align on technical roadmaps
