Job summary

ASHFORD CONNEX, LLC is seeking a Field Application/Sales Engineer (electronics) to support regional sales teams across Texas and adjacent regions. The role emphasizes understanding customer requirements, recommending embedded computing solutions, and presenting technology roadmaps for aerospace, defense and industrial markets.

The position is remote within the assigned territory with significant travel, including two-week blocks per month, and requires strong communication and collaboration

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline.
• Minimum 3+ years in Field Applications Engineering or similar customer-facing technical role.
• Strong hardware/software integration and embedded computing knowledge.
• Experience translating customer needs into technical requirements or product recommendations.
• Proven ability to provide technical sales support with regional teams.
• Experience presenting technical information and solutions to customers.
• Strong FPGA/DSP-based embedded hardware and RF/analog tech understanding.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel 50%+ including overnight/multi-day trips.
• Ability to travel regularly, often two weeks per month depending on demand.

Responsibilities

• Support regional sales managers by understanding customer requirements and proposing solutions.
• Present products and technology roadmaps to customers.
• Act as technical bridge between customers, sales and internal teams for pre-sales engagements.
• Provide ongoing technical support throughout the customer relationship.
