Job summary

RON SUNSHINE ASSOCIATES LLC is seeking a Field Application/Sales Engineer (electronics) to operate remotely within a Texas/Canada territory. You will support regional sales with customer requirements, present FPGA/DSP‑based embedded solutions, and serve as the technical bridge across sales and engineering teams.

The role requires a strong background in hardware/software integration, RF/analog tech, and a willingness to travel 50%+ with regular multi-day visits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 3+ years in Field Applications Engineering, Technical Sales Engineering, Systems Engineering, or similar.
• Strong understanding of hardware/software integration and embedded computing systems.
• Experience gathering customer requirements and translating needs into technical requirements.
• Proven ability to provide technical sales support and collaborate with regional sales managers.
• Experience presenting technical information, product capabilities, and solutions to customers.
• Strong understanding of FPGA/DSP-based embedded hardware.
• Strong understanding of RF and analog technologies.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Customer-focused, self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Willingness and ability to travel 50%+, including overnight and multi-day trips.
• Ability to travel regularly, often ~two weeks per month depending on demand.

Responsibilities

• Support regional sales managers by understanding customer requirements and recommending technical solutions.
• Present products, roadmaps, and capabilities to customers and partners.
• Act as the technical bridge between customers, sales, and internal teams during pre-sales and ongoing support.
