Job summary

Clear Concepts, Inc. is seeking a Field Application Engineer (electronics) to support regional sales teams across a remote territory. You will translate customer requirements into technical solutions for FPGA/DSP, RF, and embedded computing platforms in aerospace and defense applications.

The role involves presenting product roadmaps, providing pre-sales support, and traveling 50% or more, often with overnight trips, to engage customers in Texas and across Canada.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 3+ years in Field Applications Engineering or equivalent customer-facing technical role.
• Strong hardware/software integration knowledge.
• Experience translating customer needs into technical requirements or product recommendations.
• Proven ability to provide technical sales support and collaborate with regional sales managers.
• Experience presenting technical information, product capabilities, and solutions to customers.
• Strong understanding of FPGA/DSP embedded hardware.
• Strong understanding of RF and analog technologies.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness and ability to travel 50%+ including overnight and multi-day trips.
• Ability to travel regularly, often ~2 weeks per month depending on demand.

Responsibilities

• Support regional sales managers by understanding customer requirements and recommending technical solutions.
• Present product capabilities, roadmaps, and solutions to customers.
• Act as the technical bridge between customers, sales, and internal teams.
• Provide pre-sales technical assistance throughout the customer engagement.
• Travel as required to cover the regional territory.
