Job summary

The Company in Austin, TX is seeking a Field Application Engineer to support regional sales managers by understanding customer requirements and recommending technical solutions. You will present product capabilities and roadmaps to customers and act as the technical bridge between customers, sales, and internal teams during pre-sales engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 3+ years of Field Applications Engineering or a comparable customer-facing technical role.
• Strong technical understanding of hardware/software integration and embedded computing systems.
• Experience gathering customer requirements and translating them into technical requirements or product recommendations.
• Proven ability to provide technical sales support and collaborate with regional sales managers.
• Experience presenting technical information, product capabilities, and solutions to customers.
• Strong understanding of FPGA/DSP-based embedded hardware.
• Strong understanding of RF and analog technologies.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Customer-focused, self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Willingness and ability to travel 50% or more, including overnight and multi-day trips.
• Ability to travel regularly, often approximately two weeks per month depending on customer demand.
• Experience supporting aerospace and defense customers.
