Job summary

Acloché LLC is seeking a Field Application Engineer to support regional sales teams across a remote, international territory. You will gather customer requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and present FPGA/DSP-based embedded computing capabilities to customers in aerospace and defense contexts.

You will serve as a technical liaison between customers, sales, and internal engineering teams, delivering pre-sales support and ongoing technical assistance as you travel to customer

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in Field Applications Engineering or a comparable customer-facing technical role.
• Strong technical understanding of hardware/software integration and embedded computing systems.
• Experience gathering customer requirements and translating customer needs into technical requirements or product recommendations.
• Proven ability to provide technical sales support and collaborate with regional sales managers.
• Experience presenting technical information, product capabilities, and solutions to customers.
• Strong understanding of FPGA/DSP-based embedded hardware.
• Strong understanding of RF and analog technologies.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Customer-focused, self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Willingness and ability to travel 50% or more, including overnight and multi-day trips.
• Ability to travel regularly, often approximately two weeks per month depending on customer demand.

Responsibilities

• Support regional sales managers by understanding customer requirements and recommending suitable technical solutions.
• Present product portfolio, technical roadmaps, and application capabilities to customers.
• Act as the technical bridge between customers, sales, and internal teams during pre-sales engagements.
• Provide ongoing technical assistance throughout the customer relationship and engagement lifecycle.
• Travel as needed to customer sites, often two weeks per month, to support demand.
