Job summary

Markent Personnel, Inc. is seeking a Field Application Engineer (electronics) to support regional sales teams from a fully remote position across Texas and Canada.

You will analyze customer requirements, propose suitable FPGA/DSP/embedded solutions, and present technical roadmaps to customers and sales managers. You will bridge customers, sales and engineering, providing pre-sales support and ongoing technical assistance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 3+ years in Field Applications Engineering or similar.
• Strong hardware/software integration understanding in embedded systems.
• Experience gathering customer requirements and translating them into tech specs.
• Proven ability to provide technical sales support and collaborate with regional sales managers.
• Experience presenting technical information and solutions to customers.
• Strong understanding of FPGA/DSP-based embedded hardware and RF/analog tech.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Customer-focused, self-motivated and organized with multi-priority handling.
• Willingness to travel 50%+ including overnight/multi-day trips.

Responsibilities

• Support regional sales managers by understanding customer requirements and recommending technical solutions.
• Present products, roadmaps and capabilities to customers and stakeholders.
• Act as the technical bridge between customers, sales and internal teams during pre-sales engagements.
• Provide ongoing technical assistance throughout the customer lifecycle.
• Travel regularly to customer sites, sometimes two weeks per month, for engagements.
