Job summary

ASSA ABLOY Group is seeking a Field Sales Applications Engineer to bridge our access control solutions with integrators, consultants, and end users through pre‑sales engineering, field support, and customer engagement. This role emphasizes Control iD and IP-based systems, including biometric and mobile credentials.

You will collaborate with regional sales, product, and engineering teams to drive adoption and deliver compelling demonstrations, design reviews, and pilot deployments while residing

Qualifications

• 3–7+ years in sales engineering, applications engineering, or technical support in electronic access control or security.
• Strong understanding of access control components: credentials, readers, controllers, software.
• Willingness to travel regionally (30–50%).

Responsibilities

• Partner with regional sales teams to provide technical expertise throughout the sales cycle.
• Deliver product demonstrations, system design consultations, and technical presentations.
• Support specification development with A&E firms and security consultants.
• Assist with architecture design including readers, controllers, credentials, and software.
• Provide hands-on support for evaluations, pilots, and field troubleshooting.
• Act as SME on Control iD and biometric/IP-based access control systems.
• Gather field intelligence to inform product/marketing strategies.
• Conduct technical training sessions for integrators and channel partners.
• Collaborate with product management, support, and engineering to resolve issues.
