Job summary

Tom Trese Networking LLC seeks a Field Applications Engineer to support regional sales managers by translating customer needs into technical solutions. You will present product roadmaps and capabilities, acting as the technical bridge between customers, sales, and engineering teams.

You will handle pre-sales engagements, provide technical assistance throughout the customer relationship, and travel regularly to support aerospace/defense customers across Texas and into Canada.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
• 3+ years in Field Applications/Technical Sales Eng or similar role.
• Strong hardware/software integration and embedded computing knowledge.
• Experience gathering requirements and translating to technical specs.
• Proven ability to provide pre-sales support with regional sales teams.
• Experience presenting technical information and product capabilities.
• Strong FPGA/DSP-based embedded hardware and RF/analog knowledge.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel 50%+ including overnight trips.
• Ability to travel regularly, ~two weeks per month.

Responsibilities

• Support regional sales managers by understanding customer requirements and recommending technical solutions.
• Present products, roadmaps, and capabilities to customers.
• Bridge customers with internal teams for pre-sales engagements and ongoing support.
